COMMISSIONERS MINUTES                                JUNE 8, 2010


The Elmore County Commissioners met in special session at 6:00 p.m. on the above date at the Glenns Ferry City Hall, 110 East 2nd Avenue, Glenns Ferry, Idaho.

The special session was held to discuss the Glenns Ferry Security Services and Joint Powers Agreement. Present at the meeting were Chairperson Connie Cruser, Commissioners Arlie Shaw and Larry Rose, Sheriff Rick Layher, Captain Pierce, Civil Attorney Buzz Grant and members of the Glenns Ferry City Council.

Discussion followed on the Glenns Ferry Security Services and Joint Powers Agreement. The City of Glenns Ferry agreed the County was to provide law enforcement seven days a week for 24 hours with no specific manpower requirement, that the Sheriff or his designee would attend regular monthly meetings of the City Council, the City of Glenns Ferry would convey the two vehicles and all equipment to the County for a one time fee reduction in the amount of $15,000.00, the termination notice would be 90 days and additional uses permitted in the Sheriff’s Building in Glenns Ferry, such as the Assessor’s office, would be an addition.

The Commissioners asked Civil Attorney Buzz Grant to revise the agreement. The Commissioners did not take any final action regarding the agreement as they deferred approving the matter until the agreement was revised and finalized.

The meeting concluded at 7:15 p.m.
