COMMISSIONERS MINUTES                                December 29, 2009


The Elmore County Commissioners met in special session on the above date at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Room, basement of the Elmore County Courthouse, 150 South 4th East, Mountain Home, Idaho.

Present was Chairman Larry Rose, Commissioners Arlie Shaw and Connie Cruser. Also present was Clerk Marsa Plummer.

Present at the meeting were Extension Agent Mir Seyedbagheri, Sheriff Rick Layher and Sgt. Laytreda Schilz from the Sheriff’s Office.

Motion by Rose, second by Cruser, to sign the 2010 annual operating plan for the South Fork Cooperative Weed Management Area.

Motion by Rose, second by Cruser, to sign the 2010 annual operating plan for the Boise Basin Cooperative Weed Management Area, Boise and Elmore Counties.

Sgt. Laytreda Schultz appeared with a grant application and letter of support regarding the addition to the Emergency Services Building.

Motion by Rose, second Cruser, to sign the grant application and letter to the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation for the partial cost of construction regarding the addition to the Emergency Services Building.

The proposed Glenns Ferry Police Department Contract was discussed. The meeting scheduled for January 4, 2009 was cancelled and the Sheriff will meet with the City of Glenns Ferry Mayor and City Council sometime the first part of January, 2010.

Motion by Rose, second by Shaw, to approve the expenses in the amount of $103,060.95. Discussion followed.
