COMMISSIONERS MINUTES                                July 22, 2008


The Elmore County Commissioners met in special session on the above date in the Commissioner’s Room, basement of the Elmore County Courthouse, 150 South 4th East, Mountain Home, Idaho.

Present at the meeting were Chairman Arlie Shaw, Commissioners Larry Rose and Connie Cruser. Also present was Clerk Marsa Grimmett.

The special session was called to review the 2009 proposed budget with various departments.

Kate Ackerson, Fair Manager, appeared with her assistant Shea Burn to discuss the Fair budget. The “A” portion of the budget (employee salaries) was reviewed. The “B” Budget (department expenses) was reviewed. Ms. Ackerson will make minor changes and resubmit her budget to Clerk Grimmett.

Assessor Jo Gridley appeared to discuss her budget. A few line items were adjusted. Having a GIS Department was discussed.

Payroll and revenues were reviewed.

Motion by Rose, second by Cruser, to recess for lunch.

At 1:30 p.m. regular session resumed. Sheriff Rick Layher appeared before the Board and Sheriff’s payroll was reviewed. The Disaster Services budget was discussed.

Motion by Shaw, second by Cruser, to adjourn.
