COMMISSIONERS MINUTES                                April 24, 2008

A special session was held on the above date at the Mountain Home Public Library, 790 North 10th East, Mountain Home, Idaho. The special session was the monthly meeting between the Elmore County Commissioners and the City of Mountain Home and the City of Glenns Ferry Elected Officials.

Present at the meeting were Elmore County Commissioners Arlie Shaw, Connie Cruser and Larry Rose, City of Mountain Home Councilwoman Alain Isaac, and City Councilman Geoff Schroeder, City of Glenns Ferry Mayor Joanne Lanham and Joe Rowan. Guests included Calvin Ireland and Larry Hall from the Highway District and Randy Robinson from the Mountain Home City Police Department. Also present were Judy and Doug Mayne.

Emergency Communications were discussed and the problem with the Highway District being unable to Communicate with other entities, especially in emergency situations. It was decided to discuss these issues with Jeff Burger. It was also suggested that the Highway District and Glenns Ferry make sure they were on the call list for the LEPC meetings held monthly in Mountain Home.

A Joint Law Enforcement firing range was discussed, but Randy Robinson felt that the City was okay with it current location for the City Police firing range.

Mayor Lanham gave a report on the recent Pandemic Flu workshop that she attended in Boise.

Disasters in the County were then discussed.

A general discussion of other topics discussed were the County meeting tomorrow with the Department of Environmental Quality at the Glenns Ferry waste site, the wind towers, the race track on Simco Road and the Recreation Center.

The next joint City/County meeting was scheduled for May 15th at the Mountain Home Public Library.

The meeting adjourned.
