COMMISSIONERS MINUTES                                March 20, 2008

A special session was held on the above date at the Elmore County Detention Center, 2255 East 8th North, Mountain Home, Idaho. The special session was the monthly meeting between the Elmore County Commissioners and the City of Mountain Home Elected Officials.

Present at the meeting were Elmore County Commissioner Chairman Arlie Shaw, Elmore County Commissioners Connie Cruser and Larry Rose, City of Mountain Home Mayor Tom Rist, City Councilwoman Alain Isaac, and City Councilman Geoff Schroeder.

Special guests included Calvin Ireland and Larry Hall from the Mountain Home Highway District and Linda Jensen from the Glenns Ferry Highway District.

Commissioner Cruser discussed the findings from the County/Hospital Joint Ambulance Study and a written report was handed out to all in attendance.

The closing of the Mountain Home Air Force Base main gate and alternate routes were discussed in detail.

The Highway Districts discussed and answered questions about the road in the County and some of the problems with communications with other entities regarding road closures, weather conditions, etc.

It was decided that those involved with communications in the County would be invited to attend the next Joint meeting.

The next meeting will be held on April 17, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Library and a notice will be placed in the Mountain Home News.

The meeting adjourned.
