COMMISSIONERS MINUTES                                 June 14, 2007

The Elmore County Commissioners met in special session on the above date at the Mountain Home City Police Station

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the area of impact between the City of Mountain Home and Elmore County.

Present at the meeting were Chairman Larry Rose, Commissioners Connie Cruser and Arlie Shaw, Richard Urquidi, City Councilman, Tom Rist, City Councilman, Mike McCain, City Building Inspector, and Sarah Cripe, City Planner.

Development issues were discussed. The City will be annexing in property up to and including the lagoons soon. Jerry Anderson owns land in the area also and will be requesting annexation into the City.

The boundaries of the new area of impact were discussed. The Commissioners and the City Representatives agreed on the boundaries on the map the City provided. Chairman Rose stated a legal description needs to be created.

Code enforcement was discussed for unsightly properties in and outside the City limits.

Chairman Rose brought up the E-911 addressing situation in the County and when the City addresses new roads there needs to be some consistency. Mr. McCain stated he was working on a solution to the problem. Everyone agreed it is in the best interest of the residents for when they need emergency services. Compromise between the City and the County will be necessary.

Commissioner Cruser stated that St. Alphonsus wants to place a life flight helicopter in Elmore County and she would like the City to support it. City Councilman Rist stated they would support a life flight helicopter in the area.

The Commissioners and Councilman Rist and Urquidi stated they would like to meet at least every quarter. Area water was discussed.
