COMMISSIONERS MINUTES                                 JANUARY 17, 2007

The Commissioners met in special session on the above date in the Commissioners Room, basement of the Elmore County Courthouse, 150 South 4th East, Mountain Home, Idaho.

Present at the special session were Chairman Larry Rose, Commissioners Connie Cruser and Arlie Shaw.

The special session was to discuss a proposed Juvenile Probation Office Pilot Project.

Bev Ashton from the Dept of Juvenile Corrections in Twin Falls, Monica Halliday, Elmore County Juvenile Probation Department, Deborah Burke of the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections in Boise, Ed Latessa, Professor from The University of Cincinnati, Ohio and the Honorable Judge Epis appeared before the Board.

Discussion followed on the proposed Juvenile Pilot Project being presented to the Commissioners. In conjunction with annual Idaho Association of Counties Conference in Boise, a general meeting regarding this issue will be held on February 5th for all Counties.

Policies and Procedures will be reviewed from our Juvenile Department, to include other Counties. General discussion followed on procedures and how much this will help our Juvenile Probation Department.

Motion by Rose to go into Executive Session pursuant to I.C. 67-2345(b), second by Cruser.

Regular session resumed, no action was taken as result of the Executive Session.

Motion by Rose to approve and sign the Computer Arts Law Enforcement Jail Management System Contract, second by Cruser.

Motion by Rose, second by Cruser, to go into Executive Session pursuant to I.C. 67-2345(b).
