COMMISSIONERS MINUTES                                                           JUNE 3, 2004


The Elmore County Commissioners met in special session on the above date in the Commissioner’s Room, basement of the Elmore County Courthouse, 150 South 4th East, Mountain Home, Idaho. The purpose of the special meeting was to conduct budget workshops in the morning and conduct Reconsideration Hearings for Indigent Cases in the afternoon.

Present at the meeting were Chairperson Mary Egusquiza-Stanek and Commissioners Larry Rose and Calvin Ireland. Also present at the meeting were Clerk Gail Best and her deputy Merrilee Hiler and Mir Seyedbagheri County Extension Agent.

Budget workshops were conducted for County Agent, Noxious Weed, and Pest budgets.

Budget workshops were then conducted for the Treasurer, Rose Plympton; Public Defender, Ed Frachiseur; Data Processing for Bob Stephenson and Dan Collins and Plant Facility for Dan Collins.

Motion by Egusquiza-Stanek, second by Ireland to adjourn for lunch.

Regular session resumed after lunch. Motion by Egusquiza-Stanek, second by Ireland to go into executive session pursuant to Idaho Code 67-2345(d).

Present during the executive session were the three Commissioners, Clerk Gail Best, Welfare Director Marianne Bate, Deputy Prosecutor Teri Kaptein, Bonnie Miller of Elmore Medical and representatives of St. Alphonsus Finance Department.

Reconsideration Hearings were held on the following cases: K-02-04-01, K-01-04-13, K-03-04-11, K-01-04-08, K-01-04-11 and K-01-04-15.

Regular session resumed.

The following decisions were made:

K-02-04-01 Motion by Rose, second by Egusquiza-Stanek to deny as non-emergent and due to lack of information as patient moved to California and did not answer her cell phone as she had promised she would be interviewed by telephone.

K-01-04-04 Motion by Rose to deny as not last resource, second by Ireland.
