Summary: |
Managing a caseload of adjudicated and diverted juveniles; preparing reports; attending Court; working with other agencies, to include the schools, the prosecutor’s office, and law enforcement; coordination of community service projects; facilitating juvenile programs; any other duties as assigned by the Supervising Juvenile Probation Officer.

Requirements: |
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, criminology or related area. Requires a valid and current Idaho driver’s license and successful completion of an Idaho State Department of Motor Vehicles driving record check. Must successfully complete a background investigation through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). Within one year of hire, all new probation officers shall attend and successfully complete the Idaho Probation Officer P.O.S.T. Academy. While at P.O.S.T., the probation officer will sign a two-year agreement which states that he/she will continue working in the juvenile justice field in Idaho for two years or may be subject to reimbursement of the costs of P.O.S.T. training. |
